Bio
Skip is a 40-year veteran of the tire industry, most recently Vice President Replenishment of TBC Corporation. Prior to his role at TBC Wholesale, he was VP of Sales Operations of Treadways Corporation, a division of TBC, which is the largest tire distributor (TBC Wholesale, Treadways, Carroll Tire) and retailer (Tire Kingdom, Big O, NTB, Merchant’s Tire & Auto Centers, Midas) in the North American tire market. TBC is a wholly owned subsidiary of Sumitomo Corporation of America (SCOA).
Previously, he was Executive Vice President of Laramie Tire, where he led the private brand to prominence before being purchased by Treadways Corp. Skip was instrumental in the ownership transition and became VP of Sales and Marketing for the Laramie Tire division.
His areas of expertise include sales, marketing, business development, brand development, market and industry analysis, supply chain management, logistics, forecasting, product sourcing, product screens, supplier relationships, and corporate finance. Skip has also worked at Hoffman/Jetzon Tire, and Lee Tire and Rubber. He served as president of the Private Brand Tire Group (PBTG) in 1997 and 1998.
